About Paper Chase Farm . . .

Established on December 27, 1986, Paper Chase Farm has been dedicated to the belief that the Arabian horse is a living treasure.  Claude Joerg and Nancy Ogiony Joerg are assisted by Theodore Joerg and Madeline Joerg in their commitment to produce beautiful, athletic, Arabian horses.  Paper Chase Farm proudly owns the National Champion Western Pleasure horse Megga Starr+.  Acquired in 2006, Megga Starr+ was the culmination of many years of owning, breeding and showing Arabian horses.

In 1986, Paper Chase Farm purchased the Saddle bred mare “My Secret Satisfaction”. When the weanling filly jumped out the stall door we knew she would be an important horse in our breeding program.   Her first foal “Maxx Factor+” was U.S. Top Ten Junior and Futurity Hunter horse in 1998 and repeated as Top Ten Junior Hunter horse in 2000. In 2000, her second foal “Secret Allience” was Top Ten Futurity Hunter horse, and in 2002, she was Top Ten Junior Hunter horse. Her third foal “To the Maxx” was U.S. Top Ten Futurity Horse in 2002.  In 2004 “To the Maxx+++/” was Reserve Canadian National Champion and Top Ten US National Amateur Hunter as well as Canadian Top Ten Junior Hunter horse.  The fourth foal “PCF Let’s Roll”, named in honor of those who so heroically gave their lives on 9/11, has begun his career as a Regional Sport Horse.

Paper Chase Farm has always had a strong commitment to the Western Pleasure horse.  In pursuit of a stallion that could contribute to the Arabian breed, Paper Chase Farm purchased the *Besson Carol son “Megga Starr+” in 2006.  When “Megga Starr” walked from his stall the sense was that of being in the presence of greatness.  The bay stallion with four white socks, stood with a presence that only time would truly reveal his greatness.  The decision to purchase him was instantaneous.

2007 was a fairytale year for Megga Starr+ and the Paper Chase Farm.  Directed by the kind hands of Rick Gault, “Megga Starr+” was Region XII, Region XV, and Buckeye Champion.  Anyone of those wins would have truly been a dream come true for the stallion’s first show year.  Yet, Megga Starr+ was not to be denied he was named the 2007 Canadian National Champion and US Reserve National Champion Western Pleasure Junior horse.  In 2008 Megga Starr+ will again compete at the US National Championships.  In addition to continuing the show career of Megga Starr+, Paper Chase Farm is now searching for those exceptional mares that will carry his offspring.

The true desire of Paper Chase Farm is to leave a legacy for both Theodore and Madeline Joerg.  Ted and Madeline have both competed successfully in the junior rider divisions.  Madeline has a new horse, the *Besson Carol son, “Just Looking”.  Madeline is a fierce competitor and proudly awaits the opportunity to present “Just Looking” in the show ring.  Ted is an integral part of Paper Chase Farm and he is firmly committed to Megga Starr’s future.

Paper Chase Farm has two beautiful JustaFire DGL daughters, “Justabelle” and “PCF Justa Kiss”.  “Justabelle” a unanimous Regional Champion Country Pleasure Junior Horse is in foal to A Temptation for 2008.  While the beautiful mare, “PCF Justa Kiss”, is in foal to Magnum Psyche for 2008.  Paper Chase Farm offers these and other Arabian horses for purchase to the discriminate purchaser that wants to experience the greatness of the Arabian horse.
